Oticon ‘Hear in Pink’ Campaign a Success
Oticon President Gary Rosenblum joined with Oticon employees to celebrate the success of the 2016 “Hear in Pink” campaign with a $10,000 check presentation to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC).
The donation from Oticon marks the success of the company’s ninth annual campaign to support breast cancer awareness and help to raise funds for life-saving research. During September and October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oticon donated a portion of all sales of the special edition pink Oticon Opn™ and all Oticon Opn hearing aids to NBCC to help find a cure for a disease that represents one of every three cancers diagnosed in women.
“We thank the many hearing care professionals across the US who joined with us in sharing messages about hearing health and breast cancer awareness,” says Vice President of Marketing Sheena Oliver, AuD. “Through outreach to people in their communities, our hearing care partners demonstrate a commitment to community health and wellness that not only raises awareness of this important cause but has the potential to change lives.”
NBCC Board Member Joy Simha accepted the Oticon donation at a company-wide Breast Cancer & Hearing Health Awareness Day at Oticon Headquarters. In October, Oticon employees continued their commitment to making strides against breast cancer, participating as a team in one of the country’s largest breast cancer walks, held in New York City’s Central Park.
